Classes:
Hermione took more classes than most people, thanks to the help of a time turner, given to her by Minerva in her third year. The classes she takes include Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Muggle studies, Divination and COMC.Appearance:
Hermione's appearance is nothing spectacular, and she has quite a plain image. Her hair is brown and bushy, often curled and reaching below her shoulders. It's extremely rare that she puts it up, or wears anything in it, purely because she doesn't see it as something important. She has dark brown eyes, which show her emotion well, and her eyebrows are neatly shaped above them. There are no distinctive marks upon her face, nor any sign of disfigurment. Her body is slender, and rather tall, but she still looks in proportion. Hermione's complextion is rather normal and peachy, leaving her with a healthy appearance that is rarely baring make up unless completely necessary.Personality:
Hermione's attire normally includes that of her knee length skirt, white shirt, Gryffindor tie and matching cape, which is of course complusary to all students. When not required to be in uniform, Hermione chooses to wear muggle clothes, which she owns a lot of. They consist mainly of jeans and colourful tops, sometimes baring logos or muggle brands. Although people have judged her for this before, it doesn't occur to her to mind.
Hermione acts, at times, like the mother hen of the trio. She is very studious, and can be a bit bossy and fussy. She's the best student in her year and one of the best in the school, and is often teased and admired in equal measure for her "know-it-all" tendencies. Some students, mostly Ron, depend on her for academic help; and her knowledge, research skills, and common sense often prove invaluable in overcoming the trio's more serious challenges.History:
Hermione always goes the extra mile when completing homework assignments, handing in four feet of parchment when she was only asked for two, carrying out independent research and regularly reading ahead of the class. Upon her very first meeting with Harry and Ron, she announces to them that she's "learnt all our set books off by heart, of course, I just hope it will be enough."
This excessive studying and determination to be the best at everything often reflects Hermione's deep seated insecurity, a fear of failure that can give way to irrational panic and anxiety.
Hermione Jean Granger was born on the nineteen of september, during 1979. Her parent's were both muggle dentists, and raised her as a regular child, unaware their daughter bared magical abilities, and good ones at that. She spent most of her youth reading books, or playing with the toys that she owned, some ironically being 'play pretend' magic kits. Her parents had been quite proud of her reading skills, and shared her excitement about being enrolled in the local primary school when she hit eleven, which would hopefully give her the chance of making new friends aswell as a good education.Ten Characteristics:
However, her expectations of joining a regular school were soon shattered when a visit from a seemingly unusal woman, who went on to explain that Hermione was actually a young witch, and handed her the acceptance letter to Hogwarts, along with a run down of what it was. The Granger family were of course shocked by the sudden announcement, but allowed her to further her magical education.
FIRST YEAR;
Before her first term of school had even begun, Hermione spent hours and hours reading through various magical books, learning basic spells and finding information that most witches and wizards her age would know by that point. Infact, some of the inchantations she learnt had not even been practised by those who;d always lived in the magical world, giving her even more of an advance over them. In 1991, Hermione boarded the Hogwarts Express for the first time, and immediately changed into her robes, befriending a nervous boy by the name of Neville Longbottom, and helping him to find his missing toad. It was during this search that she stumbled upon Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter, who were attempting minor magic tricks in their compartment. With a quick introduction, she mocked Ron's 'made-up' spell, and performed one herself, fixing Harry's glasses. With a quick piece of advice, she left them both to it. During the sorting ceremony, there was personal debait as to whether she would fit in better with the Ravenclaws for her cleverness, or the Gryffindors for the bravery that no one had witnessed yet. It was soon decided that she was to be placed in Gryffindor. She remained well behaved and eager to learn, which gave her a tarnish reputation with others, who considered her a know-it-all, and contributed to her lack of friends. It was at that point that she decided to try and befriend Ronald and Harry, who she'd met earlier on the train. Unfortunately for her, the two insisted on constantly insulting her when she wasn't present, which was overheard one evening and resulted in Hermione's locking herself in Myrtles toilet, and being attacked by a mountain troll. However, the two males proceeded to save her from it, and she then defended them to the teachers, which brought the three together, making them the 'trio' and very good friends. Nearing the end of the first year, Hermione helped Harry defeat Voldemort by solving a Potion's Riddle. During her second year in Hogwarts, Hermione only managed to contribute a little towards her friends victory, as she was petrified by a Basilisk, and not cured untill the end of her year. It was a huge dissapointment to her that she'd also helped cancel the end of term exam.
In Hermione's fourth and fifth year, she began to come out from her shell a little more, and became closer to Harry and Ron. Her capability to find out information was increasing, and she often found solutions to things, helping Harry in his tasks. It was during these years when she was given a time turner by Minerva, which aided her in getting to every lesson she desired to take without being caught out. This then proved useful when herself and Harry where taken to the past to save Sirius Black from being killed, although he was later murdered in her fifth year, during which she faught in the Deparment of Mysteries, against the DE's. Hermione joined Dumbledore's Army in this year, and began her SPEW petition to aid the treatment of House Elves.
Hermione's sixth year brought her ten OWLS, and unfortunately suffered a fall out with her friend, Ronald Weasley. She'd gotten quite a soft spot for him, but he'd accused her of kissing Victor Krum, and began dating Lavender Brown to make her jealous. It did of course work, and Hermione went onto doing the same thing. Later that year, she promised Harry to assist him in his hunt for the Horcruxes, and also managed to achieve a spot in Slug Club. She faught in the first Hogwarts battle, and attended Dumbledores funeral. She is currently preparing for her seventh year trips, and has put her parents into hiding.
