Free period. A time to study or do what ever the hell you want. With Amberlynn it was help out the House elves in the kitchens, and that's what she was headed to do. She scurried down the steps to the dungens as fast as she could and ducked into the kitchens. As she entered through the large door, Amberlynn was greeted with hellos and warm smiles from the house elves.
Congering up an apron, Amberlynn set to work. She started by kneading the dough for the bread as the house elves worked around her doing everything else. She loved to help the poor creatures. It helped to calm down and gave her somethign to do. The only days she didn't help out were the days before exams so she could get some mad studying in.
The house elves must enjoy Amberlynn company as well. They always welcomed her with a warm smile and always had the brightest aura when she entered the room. All of them were like the seven dwarfs to her Snow White fairy tale. Only there were way more than seven of them. There were a couple hundred.
Amberlynn started to whistle as she finished loaf after loaf of bread. It was a happy tune, a song she loved from when she was a child. She loved the original Disney movies so much she practically memorized every song from them. From Cinderella to Pocahontas. She loved them all. She started to whistle one of the songs from Snow White. She felt it went with the situation.

IT'S NINE IN THE AFTERNOON , YOUR EYES ARE THE SIZE OF THE MOON !
There was, quite honestly, something comforting and reassuring about the doting attendance of the house elves that Théo couldn't help but love. It wasn't the comforting familiarity of being spoiled though. It was... different, somehow. He couldn't explain it. All he knew was he liked being around the house elves. Even though they did have rather creepy faces. It was to their advantage, therefore, that Théodore was completely unnattracted to their blood. He could sit in the kitchen for hours undisturbed if he wanted to. And sometimes he did want to, so he did. He chattered - oh, wait, no. That verb never, ever applied to Théo. But the point is that he conversed with the strange little elves, and they endured, and some even seemed to endure, his strange, drawling conversation. When he was feeling anti-social, he sat and listened to the elves calling to each other and their chatter, and their honest little lives never failed to brighten the vampiric teen.
Sauntering confidently through the dark, dank corridors that weaved through the ground beneath Hogwarts, Théo made his way towards the kitchen. He could hear the buzz of their high-pitched voices as he approached, which meant there was something special going on. Normally the elves were so concentrated on their work they only spoke a little. Something must be going on. Maybe a new kitchen worker had arrived. Théo felt a smile tugging at the corners of his lips already. He tickled the pear in just that right place without hesitation, although he did roll his eyes when it giggled. He entered the kitchen and the usual buoyancy he felt coursed through him as the chorus of tiny voices assailed him, inquiring after his well-being and offering him food and other services. He waved them all off, as was customary, and made his way deeper into the long, narrow room. As usual, the temperature dropped several degrees, and Théo rolled up his sleeves - something he never, ever did in front of other wizards - exposing thin, paper-white arms.
He was about to head towards his usual seat when a sound made him stop. Whistling. Not just whistling, but a person whistling a tune that no house elf would know. The sleeves were dropped immediately, and his dark eyes narrowed in suspicious. He searched the work areas, face twisted into a dark scowl, until he found the source of the noise. His face grew paler than it usually was in anger, changing to that strange, surreal colour that would shame fresh snow. “Who,” He began, to no one in particular, but he immediately got the attention of about ten elves, “is she?” His voice was quiet, but the nearby noises had all stopped as the elves all gave Théo their rapt attention.

Amberlynn continued her work while whistling. She hadn't noticed that someone else was in the room until she didn't hear anything except her own happy tune. She looked up, her face had flour all over it but it almost blended into her skin. The only way you could tell that she had flour on her was the small patches of white that also had clung to her dark hair and that covered her pink cheeks.
Amberlynn continued to look for the source of the disturbance and saw a tall Slytherin standing there, staring at her. When she saw him her jaw almost dropped. He was absolutely gorgeous. The guy looked angery but why? Why would he be angry? Was he upset that she was actually being nice to the small creatures and helping them out? Or was it another reason that Amberlynn knew nothing about.
She wiped her hands on her apron and attempted to wipe some of the flour off her face and in her hair. She took a small step closer to him, not taking her eyes off of him. She was afraid that if she did that he could do something to her, something that would hurt her. Amberlynn didn't want to get any closer than she was now and stopped leaning slightly against the work bench. "Um.. Hello." She said to the boy, trying to be polite.
