"You look just like your father Harry-- except your eyes. You've got your mothers eyes."Personality:
We've all heard it a thousand times, Harry himself more than anyone. Harry James Potter is a spitting image of his father, with a mop of untidy black hair, round glasses that like to break or fall off, and a well built body. The similarities end there, as Harry inherited the bright green eyes of his mother, Lily-- and finally, that lightning shaped scar, his claim to fame.
Harry has that sort of fly away hair that likes to stick up at a funny angle when you're about to meet someone for a date but sits perfectly flat when all you want to do is look rough, ruffled and sexy-- it just won't work with him. His bright green eyes offset the darker look he has about him, making his face seem friendlier and more welcoming. He has a strong jawline and a well set nose, standing at just under six foot tall and with a muscular body hidden somewhere underneath.
"You might belong in Gryffindor,History:
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart."
Harry Potter is the epitome of everything a Gryffindor is supposed to be. Brave to the point where he is almost reckless, Harry appears to fear very little and never lets worrying get in the way of doing something worthwhile. Like a knight in an old tale, Harry is willing to die to protect other people and constantly feels guilty about the pain others have to go through simply from being close to him.
For the most part Harry is kind, but his stubborn edge can often overcome this-- being stubborn is the reason that he and Ron fall out, because both refuse to admit that they were wrong, nor will they back down until they prove themselves right. Harry is very prone to shouting at people when he is stressed or when he feels that they are not listening to what he is saying, or understanding what he means.
Harry has a brilliant judge of character and can tend to pick out the pricks from the good guys very quickly-- he's his own walking Sneakoscope. As a result Harry has been very good at choosing friends, learning from the mistakes of his father (who was betrayed by friend Peter Pettigrew).
Harry can hold grudges for a very long time, but he is usually reluctant to kill. It is this essence of him holding him back that can sometimes be his downfall-- sometimes you can just be too chivalrous. Harry fears death, despite being willing to embrace it to save others, and this is perhaps the reason he finds himself unable to bestow death upon other people.
Relatively intelligent, Harry gets quite good grades in his classes-- but everyone has their downfalls, and Harry's is Potions (he blames it on Snape). Harry is very good with his wand and excells in subjects that allow 'foolish wand waving' rather than ones that do not.
Harry Potter-- the boy who lived, the chosen one-- you name it, and Harry has been called it. His past is better known to people like Hermione Granger than it is to him; his history is famous.Ten Characteristics:
Born to Lily Evans and James Potter on the 31st of July, 1980, Harry James Potter only had a short amount of time in which to live a normal life before the dark wizard Voldemort came in search of him. Both of his parents were murdered, though Lily died trying to protect Harry, and when the Killing Curse was administered he was intended to die.
He did not.
It was unclear what happened that night, but somehow Harry survived and it was Voldemort that vanished into the darkness, weakened. A lightening shaped scar and eleven future years of fearful dreams were all that Harry Potter escaped with. He was pulled from the rubble of Godric's Hollow by one Rubeus Hagrid, and travelled to the house of this only living relatives in Little Winging via use of a flying motorbike.
Harry grew up with Aunt Petunia, sister of Lily, and Uncle Vernon, along with their larger than life son Dudley. Harry lived in the cupboard under the stairs and wore his cousins old clothes, which were, to say the very least, far too big for him. On the eve of his eleventh birthday, during which he was in a cabin in the middle of the sea after Uncle Vernon tried to escape from a barrage of letters, he was rudely introduced to Hagrid and discovered he was a wizard.
While Harry attended Hogwarts and was Sorted right into Gryffindor, the Dursleys put out the story that he was attending St Brutus's Secure Centre for Incurable Criminal Boys. He developed close friendships with Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, along with Rubeus Hagrid and Neville Longbottom. He also quickly developed a rivalry with Draco Malfoy and became the youngest Seeker in a century when he was accepted onto the Gryffindor Qudditch team.
Harry's first year saw the return of Lord Voldemort in the form of the back of Professor Quirells head, seeking the Philosophers Stone. Harry foiled his plan.
Harry's second year was plagued by Voldemort a second time, this time in the form of a memory enclosed in a diary (which was to become important later). The memory of Tom Riddle possessed young Ginny Weasley and made her open the fabled Chamber of Secrets, from which the Basilisk was released and set about trying to kill 'Mudbloods'. Again Harry defeated both the Basilisk and Lord Voldemort, avoiding death only by the arrival of Fawkes-- pheonix tears have healing powers.
In his third year Harry discovered he had a godfather, a criminal named Sirius Black who was believed to have been the one to have sold Lily and James to Lord Voldemort. It turned out that this was not the case, and with the help of a Timeturner, Hermione and Harry saved the lives of both Sirius and the hippogriff Buckbeak.
In Harry's fourth year he was accidentally entered into the Triwizard Tournament, which he was far too young to enter. He and the other Hogwarts Champion, Cedric Diggory, reached the cup at the same time and were transported to a graveyard where Cedric was immediately killed. There Voldemort bound Harry and revived himself using Harry's own blood, then the two dueled, resulting in the rare 'Priori Incantatem' which allowed Harry to escaped with Cedric's body.
Fifth year was no less eventful. He was introduced to the Order of the Pheonix, the team that were fighting against the newly regerated Voldemort. Harry found that he had a connection with Voldemort via his scar and could see what he was doing, which was helpful when they saved the life of Aurther Weasley, but fatal when a false image of a captured Sirius was planted. When Harry and various other members of Dumbledore's Army went to the Department of Mysteries to find him they were trapped. Eventually the rest of the Order arrived, but Sirius fell through a veil and was gone.
In his sixth year Harry was fianlly introduced to the idea of the Horcruxes, by Professor Dumbledore. He also excelled in Potions thanks to the mistakenly given potions book that belonged to 'the half-blood prince', who turned out to be Professor Snape. While Harry learned about Horcruxes, he suspected foul play with Draco and Snape but his ideas were dismissed. He accompanied Dumbledore to a cave to recover a Horcrux and returned to Hogwarts, but the weakened Dumbledore was killed by Snape.
Harry has now returned for his seventh year at Hogwarts, as Voldemort's strength grows and life becomes far more dangerous.
