Kylie is a petite girl, weighing around one hundred pounds and standing a mere five feet above the ground. She has a willowy structure to her body, her limbs long and thin, her nose pointed slightly as well as her chin, completing a sort of birdlike appearance. She has pale, evenly colored skin with only a few freckles and scars from childhood mishaps by way of blemishes. Despite her age, she seems to be lacking in the 'womanly curves' department, she hopes that will come in time.Personality:
She has a slightly rounded face and a big, bright smile. Her features are very expressive, leaving nothing to the imagination as far as her emotions go. She blushes easily (and frequently) which she hates.
Her hair is short and blonde, cropped just below her ears for the most part, though sometimes she allow sit to grow out to her shoulders. It is straight and relatively tame, though it has a tendency to spike out at odd angles. This is perhaps due to her tendency to tug at or ruffle her hair when thinking. Her eyes are rather large and very perceptive, colored blue-gray and with a stormy look about them.
She is the sort of girl that looks a bit frail and somehow bookish, which is by no means a misleading assumption. While she would very much like to think she could hold her own in a fight, sheer spunkiness can only go so far. She's a bit on the puny weakling side of things, but she doesn't seem to realize it, which leads to a good bit of bruising. Because of this, and her klutzy nature, she is often found sporting a nasty bruise or cut.
Her school robes are a bit too large for them, but she likes it that way. the hem is fraying noticeably from dragging on the ground as she walks along.
Kylie is one of the oddest little girls in the world, or at least, thats what she tells herself -and anyone who will listen.History:
She has never been, nor will she ever be, in any way self-concious. She simply is who she is, and has no problem with that; or with you if you don't like it.
She speaks her mind, without fail, in most situations. Diplomacy is not a foreign thing to her, but she feels no need to implement in on a daily basis. She's a spirited little thing, with a fiery temper that far outweighs her minute stature. She gets into the occasional fight or argument, and is often completely trounced due to her size (or lackthereof). If spells come into play, such as in a duel or something, she tends to fare far better due as she's a very good student. She is a bit of a perfectionist, a complete bookworm, and far too curious for her own good. Her curiousity paired with a fiery temper often lead to rather unfortunate scenarios involving fights she's bound too loose, detentions (for fighting), and a good helping of awkward situations.
She has an intelligent streak and a knack for memorization and observation which comes in handy, all things considered. She refuses to fail classes because it freaks her out. Sound odd? Well, Kylie is the sort of girl who gets anxious easily, it doesn't take much to get her worked up over something as simple as a homework assignment. She's a bit of a worrywart about her friends as well.
She's a naturally curious girl with a habit of asking way too many questions. Because of this, she has learned quite a bit in her life and finds that she always wants to learn more. Her thirst for knowledge, so to speak, is quenched often by her everpresent books. No matter the occasion, she always has a book somewhere about her person; in a bag, in a pocket, in a purse. she loves to read and feels quite at home in any library. However, she usually cultivates odd relationships with librarians; while they like her for her frank, honest curiousity and desire to learn, she's simply too loud if she has someone around to talk too.
There are a few things that really get under Kylie's skin, and at the top of that list is intolerance. She cannot stand people who won't take a minute to get past appearances and really find out something about a person. She believes very, very, very strongly that there are very few people (namely one; starts with a V, ends with a oldemort; and most of his followers) are ever truly evil through and through. For the most part, she believes that there is always some good buried inside a person, and sometimes they just get a bit confused and lost in life and it hides itself for whatever reason. Due to this belief, she is a very open girl, slow to judge people. This is counteracted by her temperment however; while she may think you have some good buried deep inside, sometimes she feels it needs to be helped out through less cheery measures.
She's a sweet girl, that much is obvious when you meet her. However, her spirited personality and straightfoward attitude sometimes could easily cause her to be a rather intimidating figure. As it is, her small stature and talent for getting into fights she's bound too loose set the stage for a very contradictory individual.Bookish, curious to a fault, stubborn, anxious, spunky, spirited, and sweet do not seem to go together to create a mischevious bookworm with a knack for getting herself into trouble. However, that appears to be exactly what the outcome is in Kylie's situation.
She was born in a large mansion estate rather close to London, England to Adelina and Alphonso, both pureblooded and from presigious families. Adelina was a small, wispy witch from the countryside in France, and Alphonso was a large, hearty Italian with a friendly look in his eyes. Both were decidedly kind individuals. Alphonso attended Hogwarts many years ago and was in Hufflepuff, he has since moved on to gain a respectable position in Magical Law Enforcement. Adelina was educated at Beauxbaton, and would probably have been placed in Ravenclaw if she were to have attended Hogwarts. They met by chance in Diagon Alley, and have since married and moved to England together. They have a decent amount of wealth due to the length of time their families have been around to accumulate it. Though neither are members of the Order of the Phoenix, both are generally pacifistic in nature, they do firmly support the Order's ideals and goals. Both are kind, generally decent people and look after their children diligently with great care.Ten Characteristics:
Kylie has one sibling, a much older brother named William. He attended Hogwarts, where he was in Gryffindor house. He was a decent student, an average sort of quidditch player (beater), and a generally nice person. He was, however, rather ordinary in most senses of the word, and generally unremarkable. He is currently 20 years old and working for the Daily Prophet, though he has been less than thrilled with some of the decisions being made by the higher ups.
Kylie, being so much younger than her brother, was like having a first child all over again; her parents were thrilled. However, she did end up with most of her brother's old schoolgear, though she hardly minds. Despite being fairly well off, she was raised to be careful with her money.
She displayed a magical talent from an early age, her parents were thrilled. Her childhood passed uneventfully, with many a mishap when borrowing her father's wand, or getting into her mother's potions. Her mother schooled her in the basicsof magic at her daughter's insitence; little Kylie was far too curious even at an early age. Her closest friend was a little muggle boy by the name of Arthur, who thinks she goes away to a fancy boarding school in Switzerland every year.
Her first years at Hogwarts were rather uneventful, a few arguments, a fight or two, a couple detentions, and many, many trips to Madame Pompfrey were accented by frequent trips to the library, very good grades, and a few good friends (as welll as an enemy or two, of course). She adores her studies (for the most part; CoMC being the singular exception, though she has opted not to take the class this year)but likes Potions best of all, oddly enough, and hopes to work at St. Mungos someday.
